I ALMOST TRIPPED OVER IT WHEN I CAME ROUND THE CORNER
AND FANG JUMPED OFF MY SHOULDER AND WENT AFTER IT
AND NOW THERE IS A TEAR IN MY ROBES AND FANG IS ALL UPSET

I DON'T CARE IF IT IS A REAL SNAKE OR A TRANSFIGURED BERTIE BOTTS BEAN
IT SHOULD NOT BE INSIDE THE CASTLE SCARING PEOPLE
AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR PUTTING IT THERE, WHOEVER DID.

Oh, that is inconsiderate. Where did you run into it? Snakes don't bother me any, I'll go pick it up quick before it startles anyone else.

It was in that corridor by the statue of the grumpy knight. You know the one that the Gryffindors do imitations of? That one.

For goodness' sake keep Ophiochus Helpmann out of the corridor by the statue of the grumpy knight. Because when they did snakes in Creatures he utterly lost it. And then some other third-years were teasing him and it was awful he is not partial to snakes and does not need to be startled by one.

I think it went back into a crack in the wall or something, I can't see it any more, but it might still be there. So don't let him go there, whatever you do.

Thanks, Meg! I'd forgotten that about him & snakes. He's friends with Carrie, so I'll tell her to keep an eye out.

And actually, I think I'll go take a look in that corridor myself. Professor Brutka or Professor Grubbly-Plank might want to have a look at it if someone can catch it.

Troubling a snake is the very last thing I would set out to do! I don't mind them! Although I do not like almost stepping on one and then my cat going berzerk!

SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THE SNAKE THAT IT IS BAD LUCK TO TROUBLE ME. OR FANG. BUT ESPECIALLY FANG.
