Ugh. It has been the worst Christmas day ever because there were a million basket deliveries, but something happened which I have to tell you.

You know how Jeremy sometimes does inconvenient things when he is cross with his parents?

He gave Gemma a drum for Christmas. You can imagine.

Ohhhhhhh that must be fun. For her, anyway.

She was going spare. I was a bit too because Gemma has decided that ALL HUFFLEPUFFS MUST BE IN THE SAME ROOM BECAUSE HUFFLEPUFFS and it does not do any good at all to tell her he's not actually a Puff yet. So she and her drum were "helping" me work on baskets most of the afternoon.

And every time Gemma would get loud Mrs Stretton kept coming in and casting a silencing charm in the room and leaving again. And then of course she would come back in to give me instructions for something, and I wouldn't be able to hear her.

She looks quite daft when she's yelling and there's no sound coming out.

Anyway, she's right, even if she's not technically a Puff YET I think the Hat's going to Sort her there the minute she's called up. It won't actually need her to put it all the way on her head.

True! Even when she is being annoying it is usually because she is insisting on helping.

Also, she has Puff loyalty. Because after the first two times, I started waiting until Mrs Stretton had re-cast the silence charm and turned to leave the room, and then I said things to her that she couldn't hear. Things I would like to say but. Well. You know.

And Gemma saw me and figured it out. And she just grinned at me.

So, yeah. Total Puff.
