Do you know where my special embroidery thread is? The big spool that my guardian gave me last Christmas, that's so easy to charm? I know I had it here this year, but now I can't find it.

Also, did you see Hydra Lestrange talking about the book she's reading? It sounds so strange! It just makes me wonder how anyone could come up with something like that...and I wonder what it means that there are no halfbloods.

I almost replied on her journal just to say how strange it was.

I've seen a lot of people reading that book, especially some of the older students. It seems it was a very popular gift for Christmas!!

Ooh, I don't know if it's a good idea to talk to Hydra Lestrange, because she was on the quiz as the most likely to kill people with Dark Arts.

Sue's written in Lestrange's journal about books before, though, and she's still alive!!

Her family is SCARY!! I've heard her little brother has pink eyes. Pink eyes might be sort of pretty if you were a girl, but a little boy? Ick!!

Ellie, you're going to have to learn someday! Then if you want I'll loan you all my best threads, even my special thread. (But don't use it to practice difficult charms! I tried that when we were learning that charm for knots and it made it loads easier, but it didn't help me learn to do it on string or rope.)

But mudbloods are stupid, and there aren't even that many of them. How did they get in charge? It sounds really awful for the purebloods, though, even if maybe purebloods are better at killing people anyway.

Well the rest of her family doesn't have pink eyes so I guess that really has nothing to do with them being scary. All I know is that I try not to meet Lestrange's gaze because I don't want her peeking into my thoughts.

Auntie Cora says I had better learn, or else I won't have any skills to show for. But she's forgetting what an excellent cook I am!!

I think she's a bit like Marvolo, everybody thinking different things about her because of her family and not so much herself.

I bet she does know loads of Dark Arts for someone her age, but I don't think she'd want to kill anyone with them.

I might have thought that once, but then she was there when Han was murdered, and her Uncle was ALMOST murdered and yet she didn't have so much as a scratch on her!!

In my book that makes her definitely scary.
